How it works

Off-the-shelf tools, set up right.

One step at a time. Each step pays off on its own, so you can pause, adjust or keep going. You always know what happens next and what it costs before it starts.

  1. 1

    Assess

A conversation and a look at how work gets done today: your tools, your data and the habits around them. You get a short list of what to fix first.

  2. 2

    Foundation

The right tools and a clean setup, so customers, jobs and documents each have one home. Already have software? I start with what you have. Starting from scratch? I recommend tools that fit your size and budget.

  3. 3

    Quick win

One visible, low-risk improvement that you and your team feel right away, like no more missed calls or faster quotes.

  4. 4

    Add AI

AI drafts, sorts and summarizes on top of good data. People review and decide. Customers still deal with you.

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Just ask.

What does KJey Consulting do?

KJey Consulting is an operations and AI advisory practice. I help owner-led businesses choose the right software, configure it properly, and put AI to work on routine tasks such as calls, quotes, follow-ups and scheduling, with people approving what AI produces.

What’s included, and what isn’t?

I recommend the right tools, configure them, train your team and check in after 30 days to make sure everything is working. For larger or custom builds, I help you scope the work and choose the right specialist, then stay on your side while they build. Everything lives in accounts you own, so you’re never dependent on me. Monthly advisory is there if you want it.

Who do you work with?

Owner-led businesses from one-person shops to teams of about 75 people, across the U.S. and Canada. That includes solo owners, trades and home services, shops and appointment businesses, professional and staffing firms, and distributors. Most work happens by video call.

Do I need to already use AI or specific software?

No. If you already have software, I help you get more from it, including any AI features it may have. If you are starting from spreadsheets, texts and memory, I recommend the right tools for your size and budget and help you build a solid foundation first.

What is an AI receptionist?

A phone assistant that answers when you can’t. It can answer common questions, take a message or book a job, then send you a summary. Callers are told they are speaking with an assistant, and urgent calls can still be passed to you. I help you choose one that fits and configure it properly.

What does it cost?

Every business is different, so prices aren’t listed here. After a free 20-minute intro call, you receive a fixed written quote before any work begins. Small starter projects are available for solo owners and small teams.

Are you tied to any software vendor?

No. KJey Consulting is vendor-neutral. Recommendations are based on what fits your business, your team and your budget.

Who owns the accounts and data?

You do. Software accounts are set up in your business’s name, and you keep full access whether or not we keep working together.

How do we get started?

Send a message through the contact form, email kenneth@kjeyconsulting.com, or request a free 20-minute intro call (tick “A free intro call” on the form) and I’ll email you to arrange a time. If there’s a fit, you receive a written scope, timeline and fixed price.
